VIII
The Blue Knights Florida VIII held their first
meeting in April1987and was chartered May 1987 by
Blue Knights
International. The chapter was started by a group of members who left FL
I, our mother
chapter in Gainesville.

Duval
County, Jacksonville |

Duval, county ( 918 sq mi/2,378 sq km; 1990 pop. 672,971),
The largest land mass city in the United States. Located in
Northeast Florida., on the Atlantic Ocean; In 1968 the County of
Duval and the City of Jacksonville consolidated; 30°19'N 81°39'W.
Bordered by Nassau County to the north, Clay County, and St. Johns
Counties to the South, The Atlantic Ocean on the East, and Baker
County to the West. There are several rivers and lakes in the area
offering year round fishing. Some of the outlying areas are rural
and used for farming of dairy and crops of corn, vegetables and
forestry. We have two military bases here, Mayport and Navel Air
Station Jacksonville. The county was formed 1822 and consist of several
cities like Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach,
Neptune Beach, and Baldwin.

Clay
County, Orange Park |

Clay, county ( 643 sq mi/1,665 sq km; 1990 pop. 105,986),
29°58'N 81°51'W. Bordered on the East by St. Johns River; the area
contains many small lakes. The area is still pretty rural with
several large farms for dairies, and crops (corn, vegetables,
peanuts). Clay County also is large in lumbering and clay mining.
The county was formed 1858 and consist of several small cities like
Orange Park, Green Cove Springs, and Middleburg.
